I want to share with you all some of my favorite learning quotes.... these especially resonate with me as I go through this life journey of being a mom, wife, a new entrepreneur, professional bowler and everything else in between. It's a lot to juggle at times, but having my army right by my side makes it all possible. I will forever be in debt to those that have helped and pushed me to pursue all of my dreams -- some of those dreams of which I haven't even begun just yet.
When I made the decision to start my company FanieHose, I have to admit it was a scary thought. Exciting, but scary none the less. So many emotions and questions. Not to mention I didn't know the first thing about starting a business. But just as I tackle any other situation in my life, I started doing research and asking those around me whom I trusted, about where I should begin. And where should you begin? At the beginning, of course! My company is far from being perfect, in fact it's a work in progress as I like to call it. Opening yourself to feedback as I have done often opens yourself up for criticism. However, personally, I feel the only way to grow is to be critiqued and either make adjustments or move on. In this particular instance, I am making an adjustment to my product and will cross my fingers! It's not often you get to have that big of an impact on a decision but the feedback was overwhelming so I am choosing to move in that direction (to change the fabric).
So as I mentioned, I am continuing to learn and be better in every aspect that I can. It's important to strive for perfection and understand that it's a process -- a never ending one at that. Perfection is in the eyes of the beholder and I do understand that just when you feel you get close to it, our outlook changes and it gets farther and farther away. My life revolves around challenging myself and always pushing my boundaries to keep me hungry for the next thing. The moment we become "comfortable" as some say, life sort of becomes repetitious and we just go through the motions. I don't ever want to feel like I'm just going through the motions and not having an impact on something or someone. So if even just one person finds an ounce of inspiration in anything I write or do, I feel a sense of accomplishment.
Just a girl with a passion trying to make the most of each day.
